Partner Welcome Kit

One of Oracle’s primary distribution channels is through it’s global partner network.

There are 3 categories of vendors in the Oracle Partner Network: Independent Software Vendors, Platform Partners and Global Platform Partners.

Becoming an Oracle Partner is a rigorous process that requires significant training and product knowledge.

It is a steep learning curve for new partners in order to take full advantage of their new relationship.

Upon joining the network, new partners receive a welcome pack to help them embark on their new journey.

vervecreative was engaged by Oracle Partner Network to develop a strategy for the development and production of this vital piece of communication.

The challenges included:

• Create a concise, easy to navigate piece of communication that encouraged them to quickly take advantage of the benefits of being part of this new, mutually beneficial relationship.
• The communication format needed to engage new partners and provide them with the mechanism to quickly access relevant information
• The kit needed to be designed to get past the “gate keepers” within organisations and distribute the information to all staff who engage with customers with Oracle products.

The solution was to develop a kit that was a sheer delight to use.

The package design was designed to reflect the significance of the information contained within the kit – attractive, substantial, easy to use.

Kits are distributed to the designated administrator within a partner organisation. It is then their responsibility to pass on the information to individuals so they can quickly understand and access the information. Each pack contains:

• An administrator kit – information designed specifically to encourage these individuals to pass on the information to the rest of their company
• Six individual partner kits.

The content is contained on an easy to use CD. Video is used extensively throughout the CD with a host guiding the user through the various levels of information, incorporating an easy to use navigation system. The CD also provides direct links to the secure OPN portal.

The kit is now in its second reprint and thousands of copies have been distributed in the Asia Pacific region. Oracle Partners now have an easy-to-use, tool that allows then quickly access the information they need to help their businesses grow: a communication solution that truly demonstrates Oracle’s commitment to the partnership relationship.
